You drive to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a late afternoon game drive on the crater floor. Overnight in the choosen Camp.

Day 2 – Crater Rim

Start your walk early in the morning from the Lemala gate on the eastern side of the crater. The track takes you through thick forests following the contours of the Ngorongoro Crater rim with stunning views of the crater floor below. You walk on an easy animal trail and may encounter local Masaai with cattle. Arrive in the Camp late afternoon and enjoy time in the camp.

BEST TIME TO VISIT TANZANIA FOR SAFARI

The ideal time to visit Tanzania for a safari is during the dry season, from late June to October. The peak months for witnessing the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti are June and July, while the wildebeest calving period occurs from late January to February. The southern and western circuit parks are best explored during the dry season (June to October), while the more popular northern circuit parks can be visited year-round. However, Tarangire stands out as the only park where wildlife viewing is significantly better during the dry season.
