TOUR OVERVIEW

Samsung Vs iPhone Safari Challenge

Serengeti National Park is world-renowned for its vast open plains and breathtaking landscapes, but its ecosystem is far more diverse than meets the eye. As Africa’s most famous park, Serengeti is home to incredible wildlife spectacles, including the Great Wildebeest Migration, the Big Five, and an abundance of predators.

This unique Samsung vs. iPhone Safari Challenge invites travelers to capture the raw beauty of the Serengeti using their smartphones while witnessing its incredible wildlife up close. From powerful lions and elusive leopards to lightning-fast cheetahs, experience the thrill of spotting big cats in their natural habitat as you put your photography skills to the test.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Tarangire National Park - A Gateway to the African Wilderness

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Known for its large elephant herds, Tarangire comes alive during the dry season as thousands of elephants migrate here in search of water. The park is also home to an array of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and various predators. Enjoy an exciting game drive through the vast landscapes before heading to Country Lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater - A Natural Sanctuary for Wildlife

Start your day with an exciting game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a haven for diverse wildlife. This UNESCO-listed wonder hosts one of the densest populations of large mammals in Africa, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo. After an unforgettable wildlife experience in the crater, you’ll continue your journey to the Serengeti, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay at a tented lodge.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in the Seronera Area of Serengeti

Spend the day exploring the Seronera region, the heart of the Central Serengeti, renowned as the best place to spot Big Cats in action. This predator-rich area is home to lions, leopards, and cheetahs, offering incredible wildlife encounters. Enjoy a thrilling full-day game drive, witnessing the raw beauty of the Serengeti’s vast plains and abundant wildlife. As the sun sets, head to your tented lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4: Another Full Day of Game Drives in the Serengeti

Enjoy another thrilling full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, where you can tailor your safari experience based on your preferences. Discuss with your driver-guide to explore specific wildlife hotspots, track the Big Five, or witness the famous Serengeti plains teeming with life. Capture unforgettable moments as you immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of Africa. In the evening, return to your tented lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Final Game Drive and Return to Arusha

On your final day, enjoy a game drive en route as you make your way to Seronera Airstrip for your flight back or opt for a scenic drive to Arusha. This last safari experience offers a chance to spot more wildlife and soak in the breathtaking Serengeti landscapes one last time. Safe travels and unforgettable memories from your Tanzania adventure!

BEST TIME TO VISIT TANZANIA FOR SAFARI

The ideal time to visit Tanzania for a safari is during the dry season, from late June to October. The peak months for witnessing the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti are June and July, while the wildebeest calving period occurs from late January to February. The southern and western circuit parks are best explored during the dry season (June to October), while the more popular northern circuit parks can be visited year-round. However, Tarangire stands out as the only park where wildlife viewing is significantly better during the dry season.
